HOW NIGERIA LOST THEIR CASE AGAINST IPOB ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE TREASONABLE FELONY TRIAL
Hahahaha… Not even APC friendly publications like Premium Times and News Agency of Nigeria, where Vanguard newspapers got their own story from, could hide their shame and that of millions of people that followed the proceedings live on social media today.
We now know why Binta Nyako opted for secret trial or as she claimed “to protect the (government) witnesses” in her court. It is not actually to protect DSS agents or traitors hired to testify against our brethren in court, it is to hide the shame of Nigeria from world view. They don’t want the public to see the sort of humiliation their witness received under cross examination today. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) did their best to spin the story to cover their shame but didn’t quite succeed. This case completely collapsed today after the forensic cross examination of their first witness. Other witnesses must be wondering what awaits them.
All the questions put to him came back with ‘I don’t know’ answers. They couldn’t establish in what way a radio transmitter could constitute conspiracy to commit treasonable felony. Those that posited that Africans are monkeys would not be disappointed after observing what transpired in Binta Nyako’s court today. It went a long way to reinforce that notion if anything.
For information purposes:
*The transmitter in question is not a banned item and can be imported by anybody. This very transmitter was purchased from Nigerian Customs at government auction.
*Secession or self determination is not an offence under Nigerian penal code. In other words, it is not an offence known to law.
*How therefore can one use a transmitter to cause the overthrow of Buhari’s regime?
*In Nigeria you can be prosecuted for your intention not only an act of crime. Though the term secession is not a crime in Nigerian law, you can still be prosecuted for habouring the thought of seceding. Welcome to the damaging effect of colonialism and half education.
Hope you can see how stupid Nigerian legal system is.
